September often sees the start of the hurricanes tracking across the Atlantic and with them comes surf. The water is at its warmest of the year about now so its a perfect combination. I've been surfing and swimming multiple times a day over the past month and at last been doing some travelling for waves. Charles and I have been on the road managing to find empty waves every time we go. The water has become a major attraction over the past 18 months for lots of people and we are seeing surfers, dippers, paddle boarders etc in numbers never seen before.
Below is a frame grab from Charles' drone recently whilst we were at a nice little deserted right hander.
The days are shortening and nights getting longer. A few weeks left of early and late water time before the darkness comes back. Soak it up while you can and build up the reserves for the winter ahead!
