Sand Dunes on Fire

Our local dunes caught fire this week. A few of us went at it with a shovel and buckets of water and managed to extinguish it before it got out of control.

A huge strain is currently on our fire and rescue services as they tackle enormous fires in the mountains but they still managed to attend this too and made sure it was well and truly out. Thankfully this fire in our dunes has been the only one despite the incredible weather of late.
